From his studio in an old stable, Nick Andrew explores the nearby water- meadows, lakes, woodland  and especially the river in all seasons and times of day. Through his paintings he aims to express the vitality and freshness of the natural world and his own quiet, solitary involvement with the landscape. Nick paints using acrylic and oil on canvas, paper and board with bold, vigorous brush- strokes and vibrant colours to capture a sense of the atmosphere and the movement, patterns, textures and contrasts which he finds inspiring in these beautiful surroundings.

Nick studied graphic design at London College of Printing and Fine Art at Cheltenham College of Art. He exhibits in galleries throughout the UK and has shown his work in Europe and the USA. He also  works to commission.  His paintings are in many public and private collections.
